Scottish Rugby's Head of Commercial David James said: "We are delighted that Magners Original Irish Cider have renewed their relationship with the Edinburgh Gunners. The deal significantly boosts support for the Gunners ahead of the coming season.
"There is real optimism about the new season at Edinburgh, with Frank Hadden having his most experienced squad yet at his disposal, and already public uptake on the new season ticket scheme has been most encouraging. It is exciting for us that Magners have identified the potential in Edinburgh both on and off the field, with the experiences of last year confirming how both partners can work together to effectively promote the two brands.
"Magners' popularity has soared in Scotland since they launched the brand in 2003 and we are confident that by continuing to work with Maurice Breen and his team we will be able to build on that success together," he added.
Maurice Breen, Marketing Director for Magners Original Irish Cider said: "We have enjoyed a very successful first season with Edinburgh and this new agreement demonstrates our commitment to further developing the relationship.
"We always monitor our sponsorships closely, and there is little doubt that rugby supporters also enjoy Magners. As a result, our relationship with the Edinburgh Gunners has played an important role in growing the profile of both brands.
"The success we have enjoyed with Edinburgh encouraged us to widen our support for rugby by entering into a similar relationship with London Wasps. We were delighted when both teams were drawn to play against each other at Murrayfield in October.
"We are looking forward to a successful season both on and off the pitch," he added.
The Magners brand will again appear across the chest of the Gunners' playing and replica jerseys as well as on the collar.
