Elswhere on Sunday Leinster welcome another Irish province, Ulster, to the RDS, a ground where they have suffered only one defeat in their last 19 games - to Munster in September. Whilst Ulster's away record is poor they seem to save their best performances for inter-pro rivalry, having lost just one of their last six such encounters - to today's opponents Leinster in December.
The round kicks off with another Scottish/Irish encounter, this time Connacht the visitors to Murrayfield the ground where Edinburgh have won their last four Magners League fixtures. Ominously Connacht have not won in Scotland since their victory over Border Reivers in September 2006.

Leinster have won their last six matches in the Magners League since their 12-15 slip up at Glasgow on 24 October. The Irishmen's only home defeat in their last 19 games at the RDS in all competitions since November 2007 was 0-18 to Munster on 28 September.
Ulster have won just two of their last five games in the Magners League, whilst the Ulstermen have won just once on the road in any competition since November 2007: 37-11 at Munster on 3 January. Ulster's only defeat to a fellow Irish province in their last six such encounters was 13-21 at home to Leinster on 27 December.
Leinster are going for a season's double over Ulster for the first time since 2005/06. Ulster have not beaten Leinster on their home soil since a 26-15 victory at Donnybrook in the Irish Interprovincial Championship on 13 August 1999.
Note:
The remaining round 13 fixtures, Cardiff Blues v Scarlets and Ospreys v Newport Gwent Dragons, have been postponed to a later date due to the teams' involvement in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
