Cardiff Blues V Glasgow Warriors
Friday 20 February 7.05pm kick off
Cardiff Blues have been in fine form in the Heineken Cup and will be looking to carry this form into the Magners League.
The Blues have suffered only one home defeat since January 2008 when they lost 12-16 to the Ospreys at the Arms Park on New Year's Eve 2008.
The Blues know that the Glasgow Warriors will be a real threat as their most recent away win saw them defeat three times Heineken Cup champions Toulouse 33-26 on their own patch.
However, the Cardiff Blues can also take comfort from the fact that the last six clashes between the two teams have all been won by the home side on the day.
David Young has selected the following team, which sees John Yapp, Bradley Davies and Robin Sowden Taylor all return from the Wales squad.
T Rhys Thomas has strained his knee and was not considered for selection. Rhys Williams has also had another operation on his knee, to clean out some damage, and is expected to be out for 4 to 6 weeks.
Speaking ahead of the match David Young said,
"I have a huge amount of respect for the way our opponents play the game - they gave us a good hiding up there and deserved the win."
"A few eyebrows were raised with that result but they've shown with the win out in Toulouse and the performances against Bath, what a quality side they are."
"Having said that, I think we will have enough quality on the pitch to win the game and I always expect us to win our home games."
"We will go into the match with the mindset knowing that we will have to play at our best."
"Although, both teams maybe missing some international players, I think both squads will have enough class to play a high quality game."
Cardiff Blues fans can purchase an exclusive family tickets for the match just £20, which allows entry for two adults and two children. The game is sure to be a great night out during Half Term.
