Glasgow produced a thoroughly dominant performance against the 2007 Guinness Premiership finalists as they took their domestic form on to the European stage at Firhill.
And Gloucster boss Bryan Redpath didn't shy away from giving a hugely positive assessment of Sean Lineen's men, despite his own obvious disappointment.
The former Scotland scrum-half highlighted Glasgow's togetherness, as well as hinting that their form in the Magners League will make them a difficult side to beat when the two sides meet again at Kingsholm on Sunday.
"I think Glasgow play well as a team," said Redpath, after tries from Max Evans and Bernardo Stortoni, together with 23 points from the boot of Dan Parks, saw Glasgow finish as comfortable winners.
"They're very efficient. They use their back row effectively around the breakdown, which is always going to be an issue.
"I think their setpiece has also improved. Some people have said in the past that their scrum's not been great but I thought they scrummed pretty well.
"I thought they played well and they kicked well. Credit to Parksy (Dan Parks) he nudged over seven penalties.
"They're playing well week-in, week-out and they've got a lot of confidence from the national boys who came back.
"It was a good result for them with likes of (Ali) Kellock and (Johnnie) Beattie missing. For them, it will be a very good squad win and they'll be delighted with it."
