His 20 point contribution to Glasgow Warriors' 25-12 home win over Edinburgh in the 1872 grudge match may have consolidated his side's position at the top of the table, but the matchwinning outside half doesn't want to stop there.
Now the man who has booted the Warriors' into their strongest position ever in the competition wants to notch a notable first at Murrayfield this weekend when Edinburgh play host for the second leg of the Scottish derby match.
"In all my years in Scotland I have never experienced success in Edinburgh and I am really looking forward to the challenge," said Parks, who is set to join Cardiff Blues at the end of the season.
"It is up to us to produce the performance that will bring the result we want. We defended magnificently at Firhill and it was a big bonus stopping them getting any tries.
"However, Murrayfield is a much bigger surface and we are going to have to do more to keep them out. We must go through there with the will to win, and not get into a mindset where we just don't want to lose.
"I believe that was the mistake we made in the Heineken Cup down at Gloucester. We must learn from that experience."
