The veteran Springbok wing-cum-full back will line-up at No 15 against Shane Williams, Adam Jones and Alun-Wyn Jones at the Absa Stadium and can't wait for his young team mates to get a crack at the Lions.
"The Lions only tour every 12 years so it is a huge privilege to play against them. We are short of 10 players because of Springbok calls, but it will still be a great game," said Terblanche.
"I remember playing for the Ospreys against the Wallabies in similar circumstances a few years ago and we won. That still ranks as one of my greatest rugby memories."
Springbok coach Peter de Villiers has given the Sharks a huge boost ahead of their clash with the British & Irish Lions by releasing their prop Deon Carstens back to them.
It means the highly experienced international loose head can now test the Lions front row when they play for the first time on this tour at the Absa Stadium. When they return 10 days later it will be for the first Test.
De Villiers also released Carstens' Sharks team mates, No 8 Ryan Kankowski and wing Odwa Ndungane, but they have been ruled out with injuries. Sharks coach John Plumtree will be missing almost a full team of players, but still can't wait to see some of his younger players get their big chance.
Carstens will join fellow Springbok Jannie du Plessis in the front row and there is little doubt that the Sharks' pack, led by lock Johan Muller, is going to be highly competitive.
Jacques Botes, Jean Deysel and Keegan Daniel will form a another testing back row trio for the Lions.
Scrum half Rory Kockott, who scored so many points for the Sharks in their Super 14 campaign, will be hoping to give de Villiers another nudge with a good performance and he will partner Monty Dumond at half-back
