Andy Robinson's men secured an heroic victory over Australia last weekend thanks to a dogged defensive display and Evans now feels the Murrayfield crowd will be hoping to see another side to a new-look Scotland.
"If we can get the go-forward, we can show what threat we do have in the back line because I think that's what the public really want to see now," said Evans, who will win his eighth cap against the Pumas.
"They know how well we can defend but we need to show how well we can cut teams up."
"I've felt I've always performed well in a Scotland jersey. Every time I put the jersey on, I just feel great and I just can't wait to run out on Saturday in front of a buzzing crowd."
And if cutting edge is what Scottish supporters are looking for, then Evans' recall will surely be seen as a step in the right direction.
Widely regarded as one of his country's brightest talents, Evans burst on to the international scene in 2008 but has since twice been dropped by successive Scotland coaches.
And when it came to selection for this autumn's opening Test against Fiji, Evans was arguably the most surprising omission.
But even though the 24-year-old had been making plenty of headlines thanks to his Magners League form in the immediate run up to the three-Test series, Evans himself admits that his form hadn't quite been good enough throughout the season as a whole.
"I felt within myself that I hadn't performed to my full potential throughout the season," added Evans.
"And that's what Andy said, that my consistency hadn't been as good as some of the other guys.
"I was thinking that anyway so I didn't feel sorry for myself. I went out there, trained as hard as I could, like anyone does who doesn't make the 22.
"Obviously, when you see wins against Australia, you always want to be involved and I'm just really grateful that I've been given the chance to go out there and show what I can do because I'm feeling physically very, very good at the moment."
